Minnefy is responsible (data controller) for the personal data we process in connection with the Service. We follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Swedish data protection law. This policy applies to the Minnefy website, our mobile apps, and the Chrome extension. By using Minnefy, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

We use external service providers (for example for hosting, storage, analytics, and AI features) who process personal data only on our instructions and under data protection agreements with us. We also use server-side advertising measurement tools to evaluate the performance of our ad campaigns, based on our legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)).

  • Content may be processed by third-party AI services and by our own systems to provide these features, and is not stored by Minnefy after processing

When using the Minnefy Chrome Extension, we collect screenshots you capture (only when you initiate a capture) and your authentication token. Screenshots are sent to our servers for AI analysis and are not stored permanently. We do not collect browsing history or any data from pages you visit. You have the right to:

  • Access your personal information
  • Correct inaccurate data

8. Account Deletion

To delete your Minnefy account and all associated data: sign in at minnefy.se, go to Settings → Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account. This works in any browser — the app doesn't need to be installed. Deletion is immediate and permanent.

This removes your profile, study sets and cards, study progress, gamification data, reading documents and uploaded files. Study sets other users copied before deletion remain as their own independent copies, and we keep records required by law.

If you can't sign in, email [email protected] from your account's email address and we'll delete it for you.

9. Children's Privacy

11. International Data Transfers

Some of our service providers process personal data outside the EU/EEA. When we transfer data outside the EU/EEA, we use standard contractual clauses or other lawful safeguards to protect your personal data in line with GDPR requirements.
